PROJECT LEADERSHIP

BLACK MATERNAL HEALTH STAKEHOLDER GROUP

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, March of Dimes and National Birth Equity Collaborative convened the inaugural Black Maternal Health Stakeholder Group meeting on March 19, 2021.

The findings of this virtual expert consultation session of individual thought leaders and key stakeholders informed the design of the Maternal HealthCARE initiative, which aims to specifically advance equity in maternal health through hospital-based quality improvement activities. Both HHS and March of Dimes are committed to ensuring that the project is not only centered around the voices of Black birthing people, but is also led and informed by Black maternal health experts.
